EXPOSURE!
It's the ultimate impact for athletes. Here, athletes are now empowered with an unparalleled opportunity to engage in direct and intimate experience with the coaches who may be pivotal to their future.
Moreover, by consolidating premier collegiate programs into a single venue on one dedicated day, the LineUP offers athletes a streamlined and economical approach to train under multiple coaches—specifically, the ones they've handpicked.
The LineUP further ensures athletes benefit from an increased number of what coaches term as "touch-points" – the frequency at which a coach genuinely interacts with and observes an athlete.
Our newest way to get more EXPOSURE!
The Rivalry Games is new concept. A face off between competing high school athletes who get to choose their college coach and their Rivalry team for up-close, head-to-head, tactical training and positioning instruction in simulated game-action. You Pick Your Coach. You Pick the Time. You Pick the Team.
These are optional games that take place throughout the LineUP and require separate registration. Each game is run in a 7v7 format and games are maxed out at 10 field players and 2 goalies per game.
For more details, please view our specific event pages.
The LineUP provides very real and effective exposure.
Athletes can select the coaches they desire to collaborate with, engaging in focused, small-group clinics held at off-campus locations.
At a typical showcase, tournament, or camp, athletes often find themselves lost in a crowd, vying for recognition. Coaches come prepared with a select list of targets, dedicating two to three days just to assess those particular individuals. By the conclusion, their focus is often strained and exhausted.
LineUP has taken that process and turned it around.
Athletes handpick their coach, ensuring coaches that there's genuine interest. Athletes then engage in semi-private sessions with their chosen coach. This concentrated approach allows coaches to concentrate on a smaller number, for a shorter duration, providing the undivided attention each athlete deserves.
The LineUP is a cooperative of NCAA coaches working together to identify and connect with USA field hockey talent.
When athletes handpick the coaches they wish to collaborate with during these intimate, small-group clinics, it signals to the coaches a deep-rooted interest by the athlete in their program.
What the LineUP enables them to achieve in a single day might otherwise demand months of effort and research.
The LineUP is dedicated to creating an intimate experience between athletes and coaches. Our goal, at the very least, is to give every participant their top three college clinic choices once registered. To achieve this, we must limit the number of participants who initially join. This means we frequently sell-out quickly - and then move to open our WAITLIST.
We make every effort to increase capacity if possible, allowing more to join.
We do this by inviting more college programs and/or add field space.
We typically can accept most athletes off our waitlist once this has been established.
BUT YOU MUST REGISTER.
How it works:
- Athletes registered to our waitlist will be given first consideration.
- Roster sports awarded based on order of First to Register, First to be accepted.
- It is a paid waitlist. Pay only a deposit or pay in full - your option.
- RISK FREE. If we cannot accept you, a full refund will be returned to you.
- You can take yourself off the waitlist at anytime and receive a full refund.
- When accepted (off the waitlist), your registration will automatically transfer to full-participant status and all full-participant refund and transfer policies will then apply.
- You will be notified by email of your acceptance.
We do our best to open more space once we see the configuration of clinics and demand for those clinics.
We offer an awesome transfer program, where up to Noon EST 22 days before the event, you can transfer into a different LineUP (free of cost!)! Learn more by scrolling below.
We also offer, and strongly suggest purchasing, extensive cancellation insurance through Vertical's RegSaver!
Please read and understand our cancellation & transfer policies in full:
- If you cancel your LineUP event registration prior to Noon EST 22 days before the event (or more):
- Transfer your registration to another date - FREE of cost! See FAQ #6 for details
- Please note that we are unable to transfer your registration to a date for which you are already registered.
- Alternatively, you may opt to receive a full refund, less an $89 deposit + processing fee.

- Transfer your registration to another date - FREE of cost! See FAQ #6 for details
- If you cancel after Noon EST 22 days prior to the event, or within 21 days of the event:
- No refund, credit, or transfer can be offered, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
- This includes reasons such as injury, sickness, travel issues, selection for a club or select team, Nexus commitments, or boarding school restrictions, among others.
- This policy also applies to college clinics & Rivalry Game registrations. After registration closes you are locked into your schedule - no swaps, additions or refunds for individual sessions can be made in our system.
- We STRONGLY encourage CANCELLATION INSURANCE.

In addition, clinics have been locked-in and finalized and coaches have been paid for your clinic participation. Each athlete has been coded and assigned and cannot be replaced within 21 days. Unlike other events, LineUP manages each athlete's customized schedule, coordinating 200+ athlete schedules sometimes creating over 2500 individual clinic hours for each event.
Since our event operates in partnership with colleges and NCAA coaches, we are bound by NCAA compliance rules and regulations. We cannot make any special exceptions to our cancellation policy as this would break NCAA compliance. When you register for LineUP and consent to our waivers, you're acknowledging and agreeing to abide by our cancellation policy.

- You can transfer up until 22 days prior to your LineUP date. Note, that within 21 days of your LineUP date transferring is not an option.
- You can only transfer once (so please be 100% confident because we can't transfer you again off of that transfer).
- A transfer can only be completed for one player. We can not transfer registrations between siblings.
- LineUP sells out quickly, good chance the LineUP you want to transfer into is already sold out - therefore, we will hold fifteen transfer spots in each sold-out LineUP for transfers.
- SO - even if the website says sold out, there is a good chance that there is still a spot you can transfer into!
- However if all 15 transfer spots are already taken, we cannot transfer you into that date (sorry, we can't overbook!)
- Email us and we can let you know how many transfer spots are avail. We will also try to keep this available on the website.
- Our staff will transfer your entry fee/date in the backend.

- Note - your college clinics do NOT get transferred! They get cancelled and refunded. Then you re-register for college clinics in your new event when available
- Do NOT register for the LineUP you want to be transferred into after you filled out the transfer form. We CANNOT transfer balances or monies. Our staff will make the final transfer of your registration on the backend.
- If you chose the payment plan - you will be locked into the original payment plan payment dates.
- If the new, transferred to, event cost more than the original event, you will be responsible for paying the difference prior to 21 days to the new event.
- If the LineUP date you want to transfer into is already in Phase III of college clinic registrations - most likely a handful of those college clinics are already sold out.
- In this case, we can send you the college clinic availability before you make the decision to transfer into this LineUP date, to ensure the clinics you want are currently available. This way, you can make an informed decision.
- You can transfer into any LineUP that is listed on our event page (assuming the 15 transfer spots aren't already taken)
- The Transfer program is not eligible if there is a COVID event (such as a dead period or local/state indoor restriction) that prevents the LineUP from happening, or changes the LineUP event. Please read our COVID cancellation policy to learn more in the circumstance that COVID changes or cancels this event.

- A refund for the base price of the cancelled clinics(s) will be issued to your credit card once the clinics are voided (the service fee is non-refundable).

- For all new clinics, the coach will receive your details prior to the clinic.
- While a few clinics may be sold-out, there are typically a number of clinics with availability! Check the event page for updated clinic schedule.

When/if you make it off the waitlist:
You will be notified via email from either info@lineupfh.com or office@lineupfh.com - please make sure these emails do not go to spam. Additionally, you will receive a notification from LeageApps the same time.
You have the option to opt for a 100% refund within the first 48 hours of receiving the email that you are off the waitlist, no questions asked.
Outside of 48 hours of receiving the waitlist email, you are locked into LineUP's standard cancellation policies (which includes outside of 22 days of event, you can transfer your registration to another date free of cost). Note that within 21 days of LineUP event, there are no refunds, credits nor transfers.
OR if you decide not to attend while on the waitlist:
Email us at info@lineupfh.com. You have the option for a full refund or to transfer your registration free of cost to another LineUP date.
Each event page will specify the grad year for that specific LineUP.
NCAA associated programs cannot put limits on the level or ability of players that can attend. Because we hire NCAA coaches, we believe this is best suited for players who intend to play competitive hockey in college. Age or grad year restrictions apply.
First, you pay for the entry fee. Then, you register and pay for each college clinic you want to participate in.
Each LineUP is a different price point. Click on the specific event details page you are interested in, and scroll down to the pricing section.
We're determined to provide impact and value for your investment. Not just by offering an attractive price, but by providing intimate access to a level of colleges rarely represented on-field together, at one time.
It's a 3-step process:
GKs - you will have a different registration process to register for your clinic to ensure GKs get their top clinics. This will be emailed to you and is also in the details section of the lineup you are interested in.
Phase I: Register for the Entry Fee
- We have specific launch dates, check the details page of the specific lineup you are interested in for that date. Every lineup so far has sold out in 12-24 hours of launch, so we strongly suggest registering on launch date!
- We have a free waitlist that does not require credit card info. We always let a group athletes off the waitlist at the beginning of phase 3. Make sure to check your email, as we will email you if you get off the waitlist.
Phase 2: College Clinic Sign-up - for your top 3 clinics
- Around 4-8 weeks prior to the event (we will email you this date and link and post it on the event page), athletes can can register for their top 3 college clinic registrations.
- At that time, you will be provided with the registration link & password for the college clinics. You will then go in and select your top 3 clinics for $60/clinic.
- If you register for more than 3 clinics in this phase, our staff will randomly delete one of your clinics.
- This is to ensure all athletes get their top 3 clinics (we wouldn't want one athlete's 5th choice booking up another athlete's 1st choice, ya know?!)
- If you forget to register during this phase, you can register later - but most likely a handful of clinics could be sold-out by then.
- If you register for more than 3 clinics in this phase, our staff will randomly delete one of your clinics.
It is our goal that every athlete gets to work with their top 3 coaches. During phase 2, if you do not get your top 3 clinics, please email info@lineupfh.com so we can help. We cannot guarantee your top choices, but we will do everything in our power. If you are dissatisfied, we will offer you a full refund during this phase.
Phase 3: Additional Clinic Sign-ups
- This will take place around one or two weeks after phase 2. We will email you this date and link and post it to the event page. Don't worry, we will be in communication!
- At this time, we will also let a group of athletes off the waitlist.
- During phase I we don't fully book-up the event, to help ensure all the athletes registered in phase I get their top 3 choices.
- All athletes have the option to register for additional clinics.
- We encourage registering for 4 or 5 clinics, but strongly discourage from 6+ (you need breaks!)
Covid restrictions are no longer in place in the states we operate a LineUP.
However, you will receive a credit LESS a $35 service fee and less the registration fee. If COVID prevents or limits this event from happening, no athletes will get a refund but a full credit less $35.
You can read through our COVID policies and COVID cancellation policy HERE.
The transfer program is not available if COVID affects the event.
It is our goal that every athlete attending gets to work with a minimum of their top 3 college clinics.
During Step 2:
- If you do not get your top 3 clinic choices, please email info@lineupfh.com so we can help.
- While we cannot guarantee your top choices, we will do everything in our power and can look at moving things around in the backend to help you. Typically by the end of step 2 we have a few clinics sold out but can usually make it work to get you what you want.
- If you are still dissatisfied, we will offer you a full refund.
- Refunds are only offered during step 2 if your top clinics are sold out - (fortunately, this has never happened!).
If you missed the deadline to register during step 2:
- We cannot guarantee your top choices. This is what step 2 is for and why we send a few emails and strongly encourage you to register during this time.
- While we can't guarantee your top choices, still email us at info@lineupfh.com so we can help and may be able to move something around in the backend for you.
If you are coming off the waitlist at the beginning of step 3:
- We will give you access to clinics availability before you register and pay your entry fee.
- This way, you will know what clinics are still available and you can choose if you still want to register!
College coaches (and athletes) suggest that 6+ clinics is too much along with any Rivalry Games. That is 6 hours of intensive hockey, plus games! The magic number is 4 tor 5 clinics if the LineUP has game action.
No games, then doing up to 7 clinics should be OK.
We advise against booking 3+ clinics in a row!! We suggest spacing out your breaks if you can. If you are registering for 5 clinics, below are great example to space out your clinics. If you want to do 4 clinics, this gives you an extra snack break or you can arrive an hour later and start your first clinic at 9am.
- 7:30 - warmup
- 8am -clinic
- 9am-clinic
- 10am- snack break
- 11am - clinic
- 12pm - lunch
- 1pm -clinic
- 2pm - clinic
- 3:30-6:30pm - each athlete plays in 2 games
Here is another example if you want to book 5 clinics:
- 7:30 - warmup
- 8am -clinic
- 9am-snack break
- 10am- clinic
- 11am - clinic
- 12pm - lunch
- 1pm - clinic
- 2pm - clinic
- 3:30-6:30pm - each athlete plays in 2 games
Mask is no longer required.
Our policies while training & playing (this may be adjusted as we get closer to the date):
- For the college clinics, the college coach who is training you will let you know at the beginning of the clinics if masks are required or optional.
- For the tournament, masks are optional.
- This could change if it is required by local or state government and/or if the coaches and staff feel it appropriate to have everyone masked the entirety of the event. Read our COVID policies here.
Our policies while not training:
- All athletes, families & fans are required to wear a mask inside.
Please, we urge you to read and understand our COVID policies before registering. When you register for lineup, you agree to our COVID policies. LINK HERE.
We are aligned with HBC Event Services to provide you with easy hotel reservations. Use the "Hotels" link on the detail page of your LineUP to access the list of hotels and their reservation system.
Lunch is not included. Most venues have a concession stand on-site. You are welcome to pack your own lunch and snacks, or order take-out from a food delivery service. Plenty of water on-site too. We will email you in advance as well as post on the events page more info about lunch options as we get closer to the date.
We realize this concept is not like other tournaments, showcases and ID events; hopefully we were able to outline the program so you can understand it and provide the answers to all of your questions.
But if we haven't, you can ask questions by writing us at:
See you at the LineUP!
